Electrolyte refill smoothie

DSC06497-001

When it’s hot, we sweat a lot and lose water. And we also eliminate precious elements, electrolyte or ions, whatever sports drink maker call them. We don’t need to buy their powders to replace them. Let’s get all the nutrients with a natural drink.

Moloheya (molokhia), this herb has a jelly texture like okra (gumbo), and that comes with the property of maintaining hydration. Like those sports gels.

DSC06485-001

It’s a smoothie of frozen banana (for its carbs and potassium) , molokhia and a little lemon juice. Now we need sodium ? Well on the glass.

I know the color is not superb, but the taste is very fruity, the texture deliciously creamy and it’s very efficient.

So simple walnut brownie ice cream

DSC06644-001
DSC06552-001

It’s addictive… I already made it 3 times.
The idea of this delight is not from me. It’s from the shop. Walnut brownie…mmmm…. ice cream…mmm. I had to try that.
Actually, it lacked flavor of chocolate, there was nearly no bits of walnut. Names are always mouth watering but I find most commercial ice creams disappointingly bland, mostly fat and sweet. So I made mine.

Super easy :
Slice and freeze 2 small bananas. Place them in a blender with 3 tbs of good unsweetened cocoa, a pinch of instant coffee a 1/3 cup of water. Blend it into a cream. Mix in a handful of walnuts broken in big pieces.

Pour in 3 cups. You can eat them immediately if you like soft cream type.

Cover with a film and place in the freezer at least one hour and your have an ice-cream texture.
And you can really feel the chocolate and walnut brownie melting in your mouth. The banana flavor is extremely light, it simply brings sweetness and enhances the nuances of the cocoa.

Banana-coco smoothie and seven treasure waffles

A simple fruity brunch, easy to prepare and plant based.

DSC03335-001

To a simple batter (flour, potato starch, baking powder, brown sugar), I’ve added these 5 and 2 spices : nutmeg and cinnamon.

DSC03343-001

I’ve eaten the konatsu pomelo while the waffle was cooking.

DSC03347-001

The smoothie is very basic. The banana was just cold, the coconut cream was frozen. 30 seconds in the blender. Enjoy !

A so simple silky chocolate tarte

The queen of tarts is la tarte au chocolat. It’s often a very sophisticated cake. Here is a minimalist version.

The crust is banana, oats and vanilla powder.
The ganache is cocoa mass, coconut cream and a pinch of powdered coffee. That’s all.

Crunchy and silky. It is the perfect company for a hot after-meal coffee.
