A simple fruity brunch, easy to prepare and plant based.
To a simple batter (flour, potato starch, baking powder, brown sugar), I’ve added these 5 and 2 spices : nutmeg and cinnamon.
I’ve eaten the konatsu pomelo while the waffle was cooking.
The smoothie is very basic. The banana was just cold, the coconut cream was frozen. 30 seconds in the blender. Enjoy !
Simple waffles with 2 yellow twists.
You can see these bits in them. They are cubes of baked sweet potato.
Kurikogane potato (more here)
The second ray of sunlight is a generous teaspoon of turmeric in the batter. Mix. Heat the waffle-maker. Cook. Prepare coffee.
Today’s lunch. No fuss.
Hot days are arriving… and going back… and back. Chaotic weather, so the food looks random too.
Spring roll du jour : lots of raw veggies and herbs.
Dessert waffles : batter is flour, baking powder, sugar and vanilla. Garnished with grated apple, almond slices, cocoa chips.
Chicken liver, onion, paprika and balsamico sauce leftover (from here).
I’m still surfing on the dill wave… I really bought a lot but that’s not a problem. 5 minutes to throw a green brunch :
The batter is juiced dill, flour, baking powder, salt and oats.
Cook in the waffle machine. You don’t make simpler.
Served with cotton tofu and sesame.
That’s a messy blunder…
If I had added the choco chips to the batter, I’d have got waffles like these.
But I added them on top of the batter, pushing them in, hoping they’d soak and that was just the contrary. They were good anyway.
